Your Choice. The Right Choice.

Early Choices

If your pregnancy is very early – from the morning after up to eight weeks – you have a number of choices. And we’ll help you decide which is best.

A Copper IUD.

If we can see you within five days after unprotected sex, a copper IUD can be inserted. This offers the advantage of working as birth control for up to 12 years.

Early Abortion – Less Than Six Weeks.

If a Lovejoy doctor decides that an early suction D&E (dilation and evacuation) is a good choice, it can be completed in just one visit with either local or general anesthetic.

The Abortion Pill.

This is an option, although Lovejoy doctors can usually advise a less complicated, pain-free medical abortion with either local or general anesthesia.
